About Us
After 7 years of facilitating community support groups for those struggling with addiction and educating their beleaguered supporters. The Recovery Workshop was founded in 2018 by Brian Tucker in an attempt to fill the ever-growing need for easily accessible, cost effect, evidence-based treatment options for those battling with addiction and related behavioural disorders.
He started by developing a comprehensive outpatient program comprising all the tools, knowledge and skills crucial for building a solid recovery foundation for the addict and their family unit. This program made provision for the parents, partners and family, so that they may find healing for themselves and contribute to the well-being of the family system as a whole.
This vision quickly evolved in response to the desperate need for adolescent treatment programmes, addiction-specific counselling for teens and age-appropriate support groups for teens in the greater Gauteng area.
Several years later and we have grown into a fully licenced and qualified team that collectively shares over 25 years of knowledge and experience working with addicted individuals ranging from all ages and backgrounds.
Our primary mission is to empower those suffering from addiction and related behavioural difficulties while educating their parents and supporters on how they can support their loved ones meaningfully.
Our passion lies in changing lives, this is the heart of what we do.
